CruiseCritic.com reports that Royal Caribbean confirmed that 13 passengers on the "Serenade of the Seas" (pictured) were involved in an accident last Friday during a ship-sponsored shore excursion in St. Thomas. Their open-air "safari cab" went down an embankment and struck a parked vehicle. Twelve of the 13 passengers continued on the cruise, while the last passenger (who suffered a broken hip) remained in St. Thomas. The line is paying the passengers' medical expenses and will offer them additional compensation.
